Rezifi's tailor rewrites your summary, your bullets and your skills in the job's own keywords, and shows each change on the line it touches for you to apply or skip. It never invents an employer, role, date or credential, it keeps the design of your Word or Google Docs file, and it works on a copy, so your original is untouched.
This is a tour of Rezifi's AI resume tailor as you see it on screen: what you choose before it starts, what it changes, what it leaves alone, what Max fit adds and how you review the result.

How do you start a tailor in Rezifi?
- Bring your resume. Upload it from Word or Google Docs and it stays in its own design, no template needed. No resume yet? Build one from Rezifi's ATS-friendly templates.
- Give it the job. Open a job in Rezifi, or paste its description.
- Choose what to tailor. Leave it on your whole resume, or pick lines, and only those get tailored.
- Set Max fit. It is on unless you turn it off, and the switch sits beside the Tailor button.
- Press Tailor. Your resume comes back with the changes waiting on their lines. Nothing is applied until you accept it.
What does the tailor change?
Three parts of your resume, each named on the change so you can see what kind of edit it is.
- Your summary. It is rewritten for this role, and you apply it or skip it like any other line.
- Your bullets. Each one is reworded in the job's own keywords. A small edit is stamped Light edit, a bigger one Rewritten, and a line whose sentences only moved is stamped Reordered, because no word in it changed.
- Your skills. The job's skills go first, in the job's own keywords. A change here is stamped Skills updated or Add skill, so a skill never arrives unannounced.
If you want the reasoning behind that split, why tailoring means changing a small part of your resume is the place to start.
What does it leave alone?
- Your history. Rezifi's tailor never invents an employer, a role you did not hold, a date, a degree, a certification, a licence or a clearance. It does not state your availability or your right to work for you either.
- Your design. A Word file or Google Doc keeps every bit of its layout: two columns, tables, text boxes, a photo, your fonts. Bold, italics and links survive every edit. Only the words change. A PDF or a few notes are rebuilt in a clean Rezifi template.
- Your original. The tailor works on a copy. Your main resume is untouched, and you can see the original and the tailored copy side by side.
- Lines that already fit. The review counts the lines it checked and the ones that already fit, and those keep their words.
- Anything that failed its checks. A rewrite that does not pass Rezifi's accuracy checks is left out, the review counts it, and a press tells you why. “Your lines stay as they were.”
And if nothing needs changing, Rezifi says your resume already speaks the job's language. It does not make up work to look busy.
What does Max fit do?
Max fit is Rezifi's stronger setting. The switch's own words are “Sells you harder for this job, and may add numbers for you to check.”
With Max fit off, the tailor rewrites experience you already have. With it on, the tailor goes further on purpose: it may describe your work in the terms and neighbouring tools the job uses, add a duty or a skill the job asks for where that looks plausible for your work, and describe your share of the work more strongly. It tells you each time, on the line:
- Bigger role. Your resume describes a smaller share of this work.
- New tool. Your resume doesn't name this tool for this work.
- New duty. Your resume doesn't say you did this.
- A number in amber. Here the suggestion is a figure you never wrote, and only you know whether it is true.
Take the example the switch itself shows. “Sped up the mobile checkout page.” can become “Cut mobile checkout load time by 40%.” Once applied, the 40% wears an amber mark and a card under the line reads “You never wrote 40%. Keep it only if it's true.” Edit changes the number, Remove takes it out and It's true clears the flag.
Read Max fit's changes as the strongest honest case for this job, and skip any you could not defend in an interview. That is exactly why they are labelled.
How do you review the changes?
- Read the sheet. It lists each change by where it sits, with a progress count, so you always know how many are left.
- Apply or Skip on the line. The old words and the new sit together. On a laptop, Enter applies, X skips, and N and P move between changes.
- Or take them all. Apply all applies every change it can, and any suggested number stays flagged for you to check. One undo puts them all back.
- Or drop them all. Skip all dismisses what is left, with an Undo right there if you change your mind.
- On a phone, the same review runs in your phone's browser. Review on page takes you to the first change still waiting.
In the Chrome extension's side panel, every suggestion starts ticked, a suggested number included, so untick anything you cannot stand behind before you use the edits.
