Use standard section headings
Experience, Education, Skills, Projects, Certifications. A creative name like "My journey" leaves a parser guessing.
Put your contact details in the body
Email, phone and LinkedIn URL at the top, as text. Not inside an image, and not only in the page header.
Pick one date format
"Jan 2024 to Mar 2025" or "01/2024 to 03/2025", the same on every role.
Keep one fact per line
Job title on one line, employer and city on the next, dates on their own. Merged lines get split in the wrong places.
Use the job's own words
If the posting says "React", write React, not "frontend frameworks". Spell an acronym out once: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
Send a file with real text
A Word file or a PDF exported from Word or Google Docs. A scanned image has no text to read.
