How to autofill job applications on any site

The whole form, not just your name and email. And you still press Submit.

Applying for a job is mostly retyping. Your resume already says where you worked, what you studied and how to reach you, and every application form asks for all of it again, in its own layout, one field at a time. Do that for thirty jobs and the typing is the job.

A job application autofill extension takes the typing away: it reads the form in your browser and fills it from what it already knows about you. This post covers what a good one does, why the autofill your browser already has is not enough, and how Rezifi's auto-apply copilot fills an application on any job site, even one it has never seen.

Why job applications take so long

An application form is your resume, asked again as questions. The contact block is quick. The slow part is everything after it: each job and each degree typed in as its own entry with its own dates, a page of screening questions, a file to upload, then a Next button and another page.

And no two employers ask the same way. One form wants your notice period in days, the next offers a dropdown, a third asks whether you can join within a month. The facts never change. Only the form does, which is exactly the kind of work a machine should be doing for you.

What a job application autofill extension does

Every autofill tool built for job applications runs the same loop:

  1. It reads the form. Every field on the page: its label, its type and the choices it offers.
  2. It matches each field to something it knows. Your name and email come from your profile, your jobs and degrees from your resume, and a screening question from an answer it already has.
  3. It fills the page. Text boxes, dropdowns, radio buttons, date pickers and the resume upload.
  4. It hands the form back. You read what it wrote, fix anything it left for you and press Submit.

What separates one tool from another is how much of the form steps two and three really cover, and on how many sites.

Browser autofill is not job application autofill

Your browser already fills forms, and for a checkout page that is plenty. A job application asks for far more than a browser saves.

How Rezifi fills the whole application

Rezifi's copilot is a Chrome extension that works in a panel beside the job you have open. A run has four steps:

  1. Capture. Open a job posting and the panel reads it: the title, the company and the full description.
  2. Tailor. One click rewrites a copy of your resume in the job's own keywords. Every suggestion shows exactly what changes on which line, and your original is never touched.
  3. Review. Keep or dismiss each suggestion. Nothing is applied until you say so.
  4. Auto-apply. The copilot fills the application from your resume and everything it has learned about you, page after page: it presses Next, adds your experience and education and attaches the tailored copy. Then you press Submit.
The Rezifi copilot filling an application from start to finish. The people and the companies in it are made up.

Measured on live application forms, the copilot takes a median of 3.7 seconds from reading a form to filling its last field. The time you spend is the part that should stay yours: reading what it wrote before you send it.

It learns you

The copilot answers from your resume and from everything it learns about you as you apply: your work authorisation, how you heard about the company, how many years you have worked with a skill. It recognises a question it has met before even when the next employer words it differently, so every application is faster than the last. Answers that belong to one job, like the pay you want for that role, stay with that job.

Any job site, not a list of supported ones

Rezifi reads a posting the moment you land on the big job boards and on careers pages run by the major applicant tracking systems. Anywhere else, one right-click captures the job.

Where the job isHow Rezifi picks it up
LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, Foundit, Wellfound, GlassdoorRead the moment you open the posting
Careers pages on 20 ATS platforms, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, BambooHR, Keka, Zoho Recruit and DarwinboxRead the moment you open the posting
Any other careers pageRight-click and choose “Capture this job”

The application itself can be anywhere. The copilot reads each form's layout itself, so it fills forms on sites it has never seen before. That is the difference between an autofill tool with a list of supported sites and one that works wherever the job is.

What a good autofill extension never does

Filling a form is the easy half of trust. Before you install any autofill extension, check what it refuses to do. This is Rezifi's list:

  • It never presses Submit. Nothing reaches an employer without you.
  • It never reads a password field.
  • It never remembers a government ID, a passport, a card or a bank detail.
  • It never edits your original resume. Tailoring works on a copy you can rename, download or delete.

Questions people ask

What is a job application autofill extension?

It is a browser extension that reads a job application form and fills it from your resume and profile, so you do not retype the same details for every job. A good one fills the whole form, answers the screening questions, attaches your resume and stops before Submit.

Does Rezifi submit job applications for me?

No. Rezifi's auto-apply copilot tailors your resume, opens the application and fills it page after page: it presses Next, adds your experience and education and attaches your resume. Then you press Submit, so nothing is ever sent without you.

Which job sites does Rezifi's autofill work on?

Any job site. It reads postings the moment you land on LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, Foundit, Wellfound and Glassdoor, and on careers pages run by 20 ATS platforms, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday. The copilot reads each application form's layout itself, so it also fills forms on sites it has never seen before.

Is it safe to let an extension fill my job applications?

Check three things before you install one: what it reads, what it sends, and whether it submits for you. Rezifi never presses Submit, never reads a password field and never remembers a government ID, a passport, a card or a bank detail. Nothing a page holds is sent before you sign in.

Is the Rezifi autofill extension free?

Yes, it is free to get started and you do not need a card. When you want unlimited tailoring and applying there is one simple plan, and the pricing page has the details.

The quickest way to judge an autofill extension is on a real job. Add the Rezifi copilot to Chrome, open a posting you like and let it fill the form. It is free to get started, no card needed, and the pricing page has the one plan for unlimited use.
